Clearedge Projects aims to provide practical waste management solutions to areas lacking basic infrastructure. Such areas could include mining and drilling camps, low-cost housing projects, golf estates, game lodges and private residential developments. With over a decade of experience we have a range of products, tried and tested, to suit your individual requirements.
Sanitation and water treatment is a vital component in any community without which water-borne pathogens can spread resulting in disease and sickness. Our sewage treatment plants remove harmful organics from the waste neutralizing ammonia and reducing BOD levels to acceptable environmental standards. Clean, sterile drinking water can be achieved from boreholes, rivers and dams using our Ultra-Filtration systems.For wet and dry kitchen waste disposal, our incinerators are ideal as they are capable of handling large volumes of mixed-waste producing small amounts of easily disposable ash by-product.

Submerged Fixed-Film Aerated Sewage Treatment
Submerged Fixed-Film Aeration Treatment is a tried and tested method for treating raw sewage. The bioreactors contain a high surface area media on which the bacteria grow and perform the necessary functions. Fresh air is introduced into the system using pumps and venturis whilst our Whale Tooth Technology TM reduces the bubbles into very fine particle sizes and thus maximizing dissolved oxygen levels.

Whale Tooth Technology™ forms the basis of our sewage treatment process. Designed by Clearedge over a number of years, the system actively breaks down air particles sizes and evenly distributes it throughout the bioreactors ensuring no dead spots and greatly increasing dissolved oxygen levels.

The Unique Features of the Clearedge system
The Clearedge effluent treatment plant being offered is a unique system and has several features which differentiate it from other similar systems which have attempted to copy the Clearedge system without infringing our patents.Whale Tooth Aeration System
This is a patented system which utilizes venturis, pressure cylinder and counter current flow for the most aeration of the effluent, while avoiding any small apertures or holes.ADVANTAGE - This results in a rugged simple system with low maintenance and excellent quality treated effluent
Brush Filters
These unique filters protect the pump inlets from any solid objects, they are effective, easy to clean and last indefinitely.ADVANTAGE - This results in longer pump life, increase pump performance, increased aeration efficiency, and overall main- tenance savings.
Matrix Cages
The media which is packed into the tanks is fixed above and below to prevent any movement. After a few years of opera- tion we have encountered situations where the media lifts in the bioreactors as sludge builds and the media loosens in the tanks.ADVANTAGE - By fixing the media in place from the start with a cage this lifting is prevented and avoids messy and costly servicing down the line.

The Brush Filter
The Brush Filter device is a standard fitting on all our units ensuring long-lasting durability of the filtration operating system.
The Matrix Cage
The Matrix Cage adds a high degree of robust strength to the main holding tanks, without which the whole system would require a major overhaul once every couple of years.
