Another compact sewage treatment system commissioned successfully for Maccaferri Africa in Tongaat, KZN.

This 5kL/day package plant was designed to treat domestic sewage generated from the factory facility — with a focus on the same principles we prioritise on every project:

The system consists of:

• Collection sump

• 2 x septic tanks

• Balancing tank

• 2 x bioreactors

One of the bioreactors incorporates our compact internal biofilter design, eliminating the need for a separate clarifier on smaller systems. Fewer components means a smaller footprint, simpler operation, and reduced maintenance requirements.

Treated effluent is discharged to the stormwater system in accordance with the required discharge objectives.
